Online Faith Education...make it part of your day.
Interested in learning more about your faith? Don't have the time to go to a class? Courses in the Catholic faith at the non-degree level are available to anyone in the Diocese of London at anytime, anywhere via the internet!
This is possible through a partnership with the Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (VLCFF) coordinated and sponsored by the Institute for Pastoral Initiatives (IPI) at the University of Dayton (Dayton, Ohio) - a Catholic Marianist Institution. The goal is to support the church's professional ministry of religious education and faith formation in an online environment.
Courses run four to six weeks (most are five weeks). There are over 35 to choose from at the basic, intermediate or advanced level covering the areas of: Catechesis, Catholic Doctorine, Church History, Communication, Ecclesiology, Liturgy/Sacraments/Prayer, Marianist Studies, Morality, Scripture, Social Justice and World Religion. HOW IT WORKS:
The Participation Guidelines clearly outline how to ensure a quality online learning experience including expectations, time required and assignment submissions.
Course costs are greatly reduced because we are a partnering diocese. Currently, courses are approximately Cdn$50.00 each with partnership discount (excluding material costs).
Some courses require books to be purchased (can be done online) and others supply the reading material online as indicated in the course description.
Note: To receive your partner discount, create your profile and choose "Institute for Catholic Formation at St. Peter's Seminary (Canada)" as your diocese in the drop down box.
